We're brewing our spring seasonal today, our Rye Saison. Our saison uses a classic Belgian farmhouse yeast for a great spicy, tart body and a bit of barnyard funk in the aroma, with the addition of rye malt for a peppery, fruity body. It should be ready in about three weeks, bottled in our Brewmaster's Reserve four-packs.
To kick-start the yeast off right, we brewed a Black Saison using some of the wort from our Onward Stout. We're excited to try this one - it will be a
taproom-only brew, so come by this weekend to try it out!

Speaking of yeast - you guys ever share any yeast with local homebrewers?
Just visited from Seattle and we were thrilled to discover your delicious beer the first night we were in town and even more excited about visiting your brewery and the awesome tour Kelly gave us (seriously, she's great!). We'll be proudly sporting our YAZOO t-shirts all over Seattle. Sorry we won't be in town to try out your new Rye!
The black saison is completely flat. I really shouldn't be sold as is. There is no way this couldn't have been noticed...Disappointing.
This is a great Beer (Rye Saison). Hope you keep brewing it. Im going to keep buying it !!
